First Steps
The client selected Spire Removals because we had prior experiences of dealing with moves to the Shetland Islands and due to our vast network across the world to aid with international relocations. As the client was based in Dubai, we completed the quoting and planning over the telephone, ensuring that the client knew exactly what was happening and at what times.
We hired a trusted company, based in Dubai, to pack up all the client’s items securely, complete an inventory list and place them in a shipping container, ready for international travel. The inventory list ensured that every single item was safely transported across the oceans. Spire Removals monitored and organised the shipping, customs, and travel, making sure it was all done safely and securely.
The Move
From Dubai, the shipping container was transferred to Southampton docks and then driven to Salisbury where we held the belongings in storage for 2 weeks. The client’s possessions were then driven up to Aberdeen and placed on a 14-hour ferry to the Shetlands Islands. Every step of the way was carefully planned to hit the target day and time we would deliver all the client’s items.
Final Steps
The Spire Removals team left the client’s possessions in the garage as requested. Our organisational skills and vast network are truly highlighted here as well as our worldwide reach, even in countries we have not been to before. Our client was over the moon with our services, she even invited us in to have a cup of tea and homemade scones while admiring the view of the Islands – a job well done!
